The Central Illinois AHEC is launching the Illinois AHEC Scholars Program. Scholars will go through online, self paced training modules focusing on key topics in underserved healthcare. Eligible students are those with at least two years remaining in a health professions program such as Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing (all levels), Pharmacy, Medical, Physician’s Assistant, Physical Therapy, two-year Allied Health programs, and others. On November 8, 2019, Central Illinois AHEC co-sponsored a continuing professional development opportunity with the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium (ISPIC).  This full day event was attended by 40 students, pre-doctoral interns and professionals in the fields of Psychology and Social Work and was held at Illinois State University’s Alumni Center.
