Research Specialist, Program Evaluation – Rockford

The National Center for Rural Health Professions is hiring a research specialist to support its projects and initiatives.

The position assists with research project management, evaluation, and research, including developing scopes of work, tracking and reporting milestones, developing evaluation protocols, research designs, data collection, basic data analysis, and disseminating results. This individual will work with community partners and clients to support ongoing funded research. This is an in-person position based in Rockford.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in public health, public administration, social and behavioral sciences, epidemiology, or a related field with a minimum of two years of professional research experience acquired independently of academic program training/coursework OR PhD in a related field. The positions requires knowledge of evaluation and research concepts, practices, and procedures.

Ability to design, administer, and analyze surveys, including online survey implementation (REDCap, Qualtrics) is preferred, as is experience setting up and conducting evaluations for federal, state, and local grant projects.
