This CME/CE-certified live webinar will discuss the role of obesity in diabetes progression and the challenges faced by individuals who achieve long-term weight loss.

The webinar, titled “Shifting the Focus of T2D Management to Incorporate Weight Loss,” will present updates to care guidelines and consensus statements. Specific cases related to barriers to weight loss will be discussed.

This activity will improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of primary care providers to optimize treatment of patients with T2D and overweight/obesity.

The presenter will be Christina Nguyen, MD, obesity medicine medical director at Northeast Georgia Health System and bariatric surgery specialist at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group.

The webinar will be hosted by East Central AHEC, Clinical Care Options, and Practicing Clinicians Exchange.
