South Central AHEC is accepting applications for their Rural Health Experience (RHE) program.

The region has some amazing hospitals that participate. It’s a great experience for students to get the overall picture of what health care in a rural area looks like.

You spend three days and nights in a rural Illinois community shadowing multiple health professionals both in the hospital and out it the community.

Students from all health disciplines are encouraged to apply. You must be currently enrolled in a health professions program, and have completed sophomore year of undergraduate studies by the start of the experience.
