The Woodford County Health Department is seeking a registered nurse to provide public health nursing services and comprehensive patient care to individuals, families, and population groups in the community.

Responsibilities include TB testing, Immunizations (pediatric and adult), Women, Infant and Children, lab testing services, Lead screening and testing, and Communicable Disease testing, education, and surveillance

Qualifications: A Registered Nursing license required, a Bachelor of Science preferred. Public Health Nursing experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients ages. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation is also required. Experience in public health education is preferred.

The position is as needed, with a flexible schedule of 8 to 16 hours per week. Starting rate is $21 an hour.
