Specialty-level Palliative Care Course with CME/CE Begins March 15

The Coleman Palliative Medicine Training Program is offering an 11 week CME/CE course designed for advanced practice providers, physicians, nurses, nursing students, and medical residents who aspire to or currently work in palliative care.

The evidence-based and case-based webinars will be presented by expert interdisciplinary palliative care providers. Among the topics to be covered:

  • Palliative care etiquette during consults
  • Palliative care and disease management in oncology, cardiac care and chronic pain
  • Methadone as an analgesic in serious illnesses
  • Buprenorphine for chronic pain and opioid use disorder
  • Billing and documentation issues

Webinars are held weekly via Zoom on varying days. Participant interaction is encouraged. Recordings and speakers’ slides will be available on the Canvas Learning Management System at the University of Chicago. Up to 11 CME/CE credits are available.
