Rural Health Coach Volunteer Opportunity

Coming Soon:  A volunteer opportunity will be available in Spring 2020 through West Central Illinois AHEC.  This opportunity will allow local residents to help other community members achieve better outcomes in their healthcare.

Want to help others in their journey to become healthier? Consider becoming a Rural Health Coach.

What is a Rural Health Coach? A Rural Health Coach is a volunteer who is interested in assisting others in your community to become healthier.

Who are we looking for? A person who cares about his or her community, who is compassionate and resourceful.

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please consider being a volunteer Rural Health Coach.

The “Rural Health Coach Program: Volunteer Training” course is offered through independent study and involves a training module with assigned readings and preparation for meetings with the coordinator. Client visits involve approximately 1-2 hours of work each week.
