The Illinois Public Health Institute (IPHI) seeks a strategic and well-organized team member to lead the day-to-day implementation and management of various programs across its three centers.
The centers are the Center for Community Capacity Development, Center for Health Information Sharing and Innovation, and Center for Policy and Partnership Initiatives.
This position will support the expansion of systems-change initiatives that support and sustain partnership programs throughout the state.
The full-time exempt position has a standard work week of 37.5 hours.
The program manager will lead several IPHI programs and assist center directors in program management. Responsibilities are broad and include a variety of project management, program development, relationship management, strategic partner communication and engagement, and generalized program oversight activities. Continuous improvement and program evaluation are also required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong commitment to health equity, diversity, inclusion, and addressing the systemic factors that produce health inequities and disparities.
- Experience with communities most impacted by health
- Strong project management experience with critical thinking skills and the ability to anticipate and solve problems promptly and
- Understanding of and experience with public health strategic planning, system transformation, policy development and implementation, and community health improvement programs.
- A minimum of three years of experience in public health, healthcare administration, public administration, public policy, social work, or a related field
- A master’s degree or
- Strong data analysis skills – quantitative and qualitative
Compensation: $61,000 – $67,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications, plus substantial benefits.
Location: Based in Chicago with a variety of partially remote options available.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required, mainly in Chicago.
