Anatomy and CNA classes at Pinckneyville Community High School District #101 watched a livestream open heart surgery this week.
The students learned about cardio health, anatomy, and physiology straight from the surgeon, physician assistant, anesthesiologist, and other medical professionals involved in the procedure.
The livestream was part of the “Liveā¦ from the Heart” program of virtual presentations streamed from the Museum of Science and Industry and Advocate Christ Medical Center in collaboration with Illinois AHEC.
“It was a very cool experience!” said the Pinckneyville students on the school’s Facebook page.
