NCRHP Hires Assistant Director of Pipeline Programs

Elizabeth (Beth) Squires has joined the Rockford Program Office as Assistant Director for External and Pipeline Programs. Beth comes to us with over 16 years of health professions higher education experience, most recently from Northern Illinois University where she worked in the Masters of Public Health Program. Prior to that, Beth worked with Benedictine University.

As Assistant Director, Beth will be responsible for the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of rural health career programs; recruiting professionals with specific expertise to become involved in the community pipeline programs; and generating new sources of support for the programs. A primary responsibility is development of rural health stakeholder awareness of state and national issues related to the mission of NCRHP.

Beth currently serves as the Student Section Chair of the Illinois Public Health Association, and this past summer worked as the faculty lead with the Northwest AHEC Center for their 6-week summer preceptorship program. Beth holds an MPH from NIU.
