This training in McLean County Health Department’s 2023 Mental Health First Aid training series is one of several focused on adults.
This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
You will learn about signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges and how to interact with a person in crisis and connect them with help.
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, eight-hour training course designed to give members of the public key skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
