Lisa Latham started as West Central’s AHEC Coordinator over the summer, and we wanted to take a moment to introduce her.

Lisa brings almost 10 years of experience in office administration and student advocacy in higher education. She comes to AHEC from five years at Southeastern Community College in Keokuk, Iowa, where she served as an administrative assistant, student support advocate, and most recently in the college’s implementation of the U.S. Department of Education’s TRIO SSS program. Previously she had worked for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.

Lisa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Kaplan University and her Master’s Degree in Health Communication at University of Illinois Champaign. Last year, she received her Community Health Worker certification.

She will be working with students, developing programs, and traveling throughout the region to assist with the AHEC mission. Let us know if we can assist with speaking events, health career clubs, hands-on science activities or support health care in our region.
