This daylong workshop will cover harm reduction, trauma, co-occurrence, policy initiatives to enhance practice, and equity as essential to our systems of care.
The discussion will include the collective insights from over the 40 years of harm reduction advocacy, and where they lead us next.
The workshop is convened by the Illinois Co-Occurring Center for Excellence, Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use Prevention & Recovery, and Heartland Alliance Health.
The presenters will be Worsham El, LCSW, CFTP, Lotus Trauma Care, LLC; Jessica A. Love Jordan, MHS, LCPC, NCC, CADC, Love Behavioral Health Consulting, LLC; Laura Fry, Live4Lali, Inc.; Giselle Hernandez Navarro, Ph.D., LCSW, CADC, Northern Illinois University College of Health and Human Sciences; and Tom Kinley, Heartland Alliance Health.
Professionals, students, and community members are welcome.
Participants are eligible for 5 CEUs (3 for morning sessions and 2 for afternoon sessions).
