Central Illinois AHEC is hiring two camp counselors to support its 2024 Healthcare Careers Camp this summer at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

The camp counselors will assist in the overall day-to-day operations of the camp and help participants explore careers in health care through hands-on activities, guest speakers, and immersive learning experiences. They will provide campers with a safe and secure environment, introduce and lead activities, and serve as positive role models, teachers, and mentors.

You must be a student in a health professions major who has completed at least your sophomore year. Experience working with high school students or campers is a plus.

The pay is $17.50/hour. Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week will be paid only for hours worked. The position does not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement.
