Northern Illinois University is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to be the director for Northeast AHEC.

Working in NIU’s College of Health and Human Sciences, the director will provide visionary, mission-oriented leadership to enable fulfillment of the essential functions of the College; direct, supervise, and guide staff; recruit collaborators; and generate and sustain supportive linkages for programs and services provided/implemented by CHHS. The position reports to the Dean of the College or Dean’s designee.

Requirements include a Master’s degree (M.A. or M.S. M.Sed) in health administration, health care, health promotion, public health, education, or related field as well as two years leadership experience in a nonprofit environment. Experience with grant management and management and evaluation of student programs is preferred.

The work may include minimal travel; hybrid remote work is possible.
