The National Center for Rural Health Professions, the home of the Illinois AHEC program, is looking for a key member of its leadership team to work on development of rural workforce programs and the Area Health Education Center Network.
This position is a key member of the NCRHP leadership team, providing input into the direction, management, and overall operations of the center. The Associate Director will be integrally involved in the day-to-day operations of the center, including center operations, budgetary decision-making, center staffing, center direction, grant writing and implementation, educational initiatives, and development of community partnerships. The scope of the position includes statewide, national, and international programs and initiatives.
Requirements include at least a master’s degree in public/community health, behavioral or social sciences, health management, health administration and policy, or related discipline (a PhD is preferred) and at least 5 years’ experience in staff and program management. The person needs to have knowledge of the rural health care environment and demonstrated success in securing and managing external grant funds.
This is an in-person position based in Rockford.
