The survey asks questions about CHW training and supervision experiences; levels of compensation, benefits, and promotions; and how CHWs are involved in clinical care teams and decision-making.
With the recent passage of legislation, the State of Illinois, many changes to the practice and reimbursement conditions for community health workers are being discussed, debated, and turned into regulations. In order to develop a fair and equitable system, the Illinois Department of Public Health, along with a broad range of organizations, is conducting a survey of Illinois CHWs in order to capture their experience and insights into what will work going forward.
Results of the survey will provide information to decision-makers and communities in their support of the CHW workforce. Survey results will also help to inform the Illinois CHW Certification Program.
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. It is available in English or Spanish at https://redcap.link/2023ILCHW (Para español, desplácese hacia abajo)
