Graduating Illinois AHEC Scholars will present on nutrition, fitness, hygiene, and mental health resources for diabetic patients to have better wellness.

The project, entitled “Wellness Guide for the Diabetic Population of Lee County, IL,” is the work of a group of Scholars with representation from Southern, Central and Northern Illinois.

They are planning to turn this information into a handout/guide for patients in the foot and ankle department at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon, where two of the Scholars are current residents.

Please share with any of your colleagues or community stakeholders who may be interested to learn about the AHEC Scholars program – and with current students who want to see firsthand how to present a research project in a future talk.
