This is the second year that a Student Research Symposium has been hosted the Illinois Public Health Association (IPHA).
The IPHA’s Student Section provides support to up-and-coming public health professionals in the form of students across the state, and this was an opportunity to have them share their research and for us to learn about the research they have completed this past academic year. Beth Squires, the Student Section’s co-chair, moderated the presentations.
Among the presenters this year was UIC RMED student Jesseca Pirkle. RMED – which stands for Rural Medical Education – is a program option of the UIC College of Medicine in Rockford, a key partner in Illinois AHEC.
The presentations, which were given over two two days, are now available for viewing, and are an excellent opportunity for students to see firsthand how to present a research project in a future talk yourself.
