U.S. Trans 2022 Survey Launches Oct 19

The U.S. Trans Survey will document the lives and experiences of trans people in the United States and U.S. territories. Developed with a broad base of partners, it will collect information on the lives and experiences of transgender people.

The survey will serve as a critical source of information and is designed to be shared with the media, educators, policy makers and the general public. Questions cover issues related to health, employment, income and other aspects about community life.

The last survey was completed in 2015 with data from 28,000 participants.

Broad-based participation is key to the accuracy and utility of its results. Over 30,000 people have pledged to complete the survey upon its release. Individuals who pledge will receive the information needed to participate. Pledging to take the survey does not require participation – a consent to participate will be sent to each person who signs the pledge.

Who can participate:

  • All trans people age 16 and up
  • People with all trans identities, including binary and non-binary trans identities

If you are willing to disseminate the survey when it becomes available, please take the pledge – dissemination information will be sent at a later date.
