The theme of this year’s summit is “Bridging Health: The Vital Role of Community Health Workers.”
The three-day event is sponsored by the Illinois Public Health Association.
August 21 features a variety of pre-summit workshops. Some require prerequisites; all require registration. Each workshop is limited to 25 participants.
The agenda includes a wide variety of topics and speakers, including colon cancer, environmental health hazards and reproductive well-being. Breakout sessions will cover a variety of policy topics, many focused on current Illinois efforts to develop a uniform training and certification process.
The three-day summit – Wednesday August 21 through Friday August 23 – will be held at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Springfield.
Summit registration closes August 12. Stipend support may be available.
